Wow, I guess its that time of year again, so many things to juggle. The big picture freaks me out but in microcosm it's like God keeps amazing me with important connections and ministry opportunities. Thanks for all your prayers as I seek wisdom to know which areas to invest my time in and which to let God continue to craft before I grab hold of them. I really like Psalm 127:2 this time of year, it talks about God working even while we sleep. May we all sense God hand as we walk through those things that only He can make into masterpieces.

Hi everyone,

Just got back from Mexico Sunday. Pretty amazing what God did and showed me. The team was so diverse but so awesome to connect with. I preached, beat rocks with a pickaxe, played with kids, helped lead music, drove in a mexican city, and bartered for goods in a mexican market and much more; Fun times. Also great times with 7 past and pressent camp staff.

My Lake Village experience on Easter evening was amazing, contributing to possibly the best Easter of my life. Not much of a typist so I will have to pass that on verbally if anyone is interested.

A lot of stuff is going on around camp, some pretty heavy, if you have any questions please contact me (712)-301-1268.

Love your Brother in Christ,

Shannon

Wow some smart kid at the Laurel School put a different web browser on the computer at the school so I can get on xanga again. They may have planned it for evil but I will use it for good until it is discovered.

Well yesterday I was reading in Mark and thought about all the people that were hurling insults at Jesus on the cross. How it probibly just started with one; a religious leader more then likely; and it spred till everyone was doing it. Then I thought about what would happen if just one person took a stand for Jesus. How will ones school, community, work be changed. Don't know what challenges this conviction will bring me but I must say "bring it on".

Been great calling different people about Camp. Awesome to just reconnect. If your number is in my phone I will be calling you soon I am in the "Js" right now. If you think I might not have it email it to me at duzer2@juno.com. Can't wait to talk to you!

Love your bro in Christ,
Shannon

Watched a ton of football yesterday. It was like I was making up for all that I missed this season. Unfortunately the Saints lost but still a good time with friends.

My mom and I took my dad to the hospital today. He fell in the bathroom this morning, we will find out from the Dr. tomorrow if he had a stroke. All in all he looked like he was recovering pretty well in the hospital tonight.

Was pondering the concept of "unconditional acceptance" last night. This is definitely a core value at Camp, while we are not perfect at this, it is definitely a driving passion. The question I have is "Can unconditional acceptance ever become unbalanced?" This is a very complexed issue that I am just on the initial edge of exploring. I think, in terms of giving, it we need to go all out. (of course that looks different in every situation) But what about expecting unconditional acceptance? Can that good community of acceptance leave us so satisfied that we choose not to venture into areas that do not guarantee acceptance? Can our expectation of unconditional acceptance leave us parallelized from going into the many hostile environments that this world thrusts at us each day? I have a lot more thinking to do on this as God continues to hopefully change me not just in words but in action. "Though we live in this world we do not wage war as this world does" 2 Cor. 10:3

Your Bro in Christ,

Shannon

Wow its a new year and the learning curve is intense. God has been so good to me letting me travel go to New Orleans and Denver and not just have incredible cultural experiences and great community but sense deeper purpose in my life as I spent time in both places and a stronger vision for the future in coming home. On the other hand it hasn't all been easy it has been interesting sensing God gently but firmly removing layers of my life that fall short to get to my heart. Kinda like pealing away that outside crusty part of an onion to get to the good stuff.

Well I better run. Brady is here and we are going to solve great world problems or at least plan a mission trip.

Your Bro Shannon
